The History of Musical Talent Education School

The Philosophy of the School

Founded in 1985 by Chantal Darietto Latil, Musical Talent Education school aims to provide high-quality musical education based on the Suzuki method. Located in Marseille, the school has become a renowned institution for cello instruction, offering an environment conducive to the musical development of students of all ages.

Pedagogical Approach

Musical Talent Education School stands out for its use of the Suzuki method, an approach inspired by the natural process through which children learn their mother tongue. This method emphasizes listening, imitation, and repetition, while integrating music into the child's daily life. Group learning also plays a crucial role, allowing students to progress together and develop a spirit of cooperation.

Core Values

  • Passion for Music: We encourage each student to develop a deep appreciation and love for music.
  • Personal Fulfillment: Our goal is to enable every child to thrive and realize their potential through learning the cello.
  • Community and Collaboration: We value collective learning and collaboration among students, teachers, and families.
  • Excellence and Innovation: We are committed to maintaining high standards of excellence while being open to innovation and continuous improvement.

A Lasting Legacy

Since its inception, the school has trained many students who have gone on to become professional musicians or respected educators. The "Rondo Di Cello" ensemble, composed of the school's top students, has performed at various festivals in France and abroad, showcasing the high level of excellence achieved by our students.
