The School l'Éducation du Talent Musical

The Philosophy of the School

Cultivating talent in joy

Founded in 1985 by Chantal Darietto Latil, the School of Musical Talent Education conveys the joy of the cello through the Suzuki method.

Established in Marseille, it welcomes students of all ages in an environment where rigor, kindness, and passion come together.

Guided by a team of teachers trained in the Suzuki method, students learn to listen, to decipher, and to fully express themselves through music..

Everyone progresses at their own pace, in a warm and respectful atmosphere.

Because we believe that talent flourishes in joy, our classes combine rigor, enjoyment, and creativity.

A humanistic pedagogy

Inspired by the learning of the mother tongue, the Suzuki method provides the keys to allow everyone to learn music naturally, through listening, appropriation, and repetition.

Group teaching enhances motivation, self-confidence, and the spirit of cooperation.

A place of excellence and sharing

The education of talent shapes passionate and supportive musicians.

The Rondo Di Cello ensemble, made up of our most advanced students, performs regularly in France and abroad and reflects the high level and vitality of our teaching approach..

Chantal Darietto Latil

Chantal Darietto Latil

Founder, Director, Cello Professor, and Orchestra Conducting

Cello teacher, international trainer, artistic director

First Prize in Cello and Chamber Music at the Conservatory of Marseille, Chantal Darietto-Latil also trains with great masters such as Reine Flachot and collaborates for several years with Alain Fléau. Passionate about Suzuki pedagogy, she obtains the International Diploma Level 5 and then becomes an International Teacher Trainer, training teachers across Europe.

She founded her own cello school, "The Education of Musical Talent," and directs the ensemble of young cellists Rondo di Cello, created in 1987 to introduce the joy of ensemble music centered around the cello. This ensemble performs regularly in France and internationally, wins awards, and collaborates with contemporary composers.

Chantal is also a pedagogical tutor at Cefedem-Sud, a Suzuki master teacher, and gives numerous master classes internationally. Invited to share her teaching at prestigious conferences and concerts, notably at the World Cello Encounter in Japan, she has performed under the direction of Mstislav Rostropovich.

His journey combines teaching, artistic direction, and performance, while placing the cello at the heart of an open and creative approach to music.

Born into a family of musicians, Virginie Bertazzon began playing the cello at the age of 3 using the Suzuki method, and with Chantal Darietto Latil.
